Male clothing optional outdoor adventure on 720 acres, with loads of primitive campsites, 31 electric and water tent sites available, 36 RV sites that are separate from the tenting area, with 30/50 amp electrical service, water and sewer, Most campsites are along the creek but there are also meadow and wooded camping sites available. Hot showers and flush toilets are available. 8 room dormitory with a community area for campfire and picnic area for residents plus a community refrigerator available, five cabins and the lodge, a private heated/ac room with a kitchenette, satellite TV, shower and tub, full bed, own front deck, linens provided for one or two people. Two dogs maximum per site are allowed with their owners. On site attractions include: a large 26 X 52 X 4.5 foot swimming pool, hot tub, dry sauna, creek swimming, (volleyball, croquet, bocce ball available upon request), hiking on the 720 acres and many theme weekend parties, campground store. Off site attractions include: float trips, canoeing, trout and bass fishing, springs, antique shopping, state forests, driving tours, horseback riding and more.
Directions: From Hwy 60 take Hwy 5 south towards Mansfield, go 12 miles, go left on Hwy 14 at the light, in Ava go 3/4 around the square to stay on Hwy 14 east. Starting from the Ava square go 16 miles on Hwy 14 east, when you cross Bryant Creek look a sign for Chapel Grove RV Park on the right, and on the left Rt.14-223 (a gravel road), turn left and go 1.2 miles, pass 3 houses at the beginning of the gravel road, travel beside the creek, turn right when you reach Cactus Canyon marked with a sign.
