About Us

Steve & PhilWe are two guys that grew up camping with our families, who happen to be gay. From pitching a tent in the woods to lounging in our fifth-wheel trailer, we have a broad background in camping. We are active in our community! We contribute to worthy causes, and support our friends and family, in whatever way we can. We watch our neighbor’s house when they are away. We have participated in protests, pride parades, and marches, but we do not consider ourselves activists.

Typically, we attempt to have a positive affect on the world. We recently found ourselves at a gay campground talking about the limited amount of information available about GLBT campgrounds, what brought us to this particular campground and how to build a stronger more cohesive GLBT camping community. This web site is the result of that conversation. We want to make everyone’s camping experience better—both camper and campground owner alike. We also believe that in creating greater unity and visibility of the GLBT camping community, we can foster better relationships with the companies we all do business with.

To that end, we are just a couple of guys who think we have a good idea. We would like you to join us, have fun, and help us make camping/RVing an even greater way to enjoy life.

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” ~ Maya Angelou (American Poet, b. 1928)
